Lynn is a Registered Psychotherapist and Couples Counsellor at CCS. She holds an M.Div. in Counselling from Tyndale Seminary, and Advanced Level II training in psycho-spiritual therapy from the Toronto Centre for Psychotherapy & Counselling Education (TCPCE). Prior to her training and work as a pastor and counsellor, Lynn worked for several years in film and TV production. She completed her B.A. at the University of Toronto, having emigrated from the U.K. in her teens. Lynn works equally well with people who have little or no religious or spiritual interest, as well as those who do.

Lynn’s approach to psychotherapy and couples counselling is relational, inclusive, trauma-informed, and spiritually integrated. She incorporates several therapeutic modalities in her work respecting contextual and cross-cultural issues, according to the needs and goals of her clients. Her work is personally rooted in relationship with God as the source of wholeness, healing and transformation.

Lynn works with clients who struggle with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, loss, anger, shame, fear, self-esteem, trauma, PTSD, dissociative disorders, sexual abuse/assault, emotional abuse/neglect, gender identity, sexual orientation, spiritual abuse, cross-cultural issues, marital/couples issues, conflict, infertility, adoption, sexual problems, and other couple/family issues.

Lynn has a special understanding of issues related to church involvement, ministry, and leadership. She also has significant experience helping individuals and families negatively impacted by spiritual abuse, or recovering from high-demand, deceptive and exploitative groups or “cults.” She considers it a privilege to journey with those seeking meaning, purpose and direction, working through past hurts and wounds, navigating life transitions, pursuing healthier lifestyles, or optimizing personal and spiritual growth.

Lynn is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), a Certified Family Trauma Professional (CFTP) with the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP), and an ordained minister with the CBOQ. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Marriage & Family Therapy (CAMFT) and Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC). She has provided counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families in pastoral ministry and private practice for a number of years.

In her free time, Lynn enjoys reading, researching, and spending time with family, friends and community. She has interests in health, nutrition, fitness, social justice issues, gardening, travel, the arts, permaculture, and alternative housing.
