Jim Olthuis

B.A., B.D., Ph.D., (C) OSP, RP

Jim trained as a Bio-energetic body psychotherapist in the early 1980's, and now practices a dynamic relational psychotherapy which emphases being-with and journeying-with his counsellees. He specializes in in-depth work (grief work, addictions, depression, relationship break-down and deadness, etc.) with both individuals and with couples. He has written two books on relationships [I pledge You My Troth] and [Keeping Our Troth], and one on psychotherapy as a ministry of love [The Beautiful Risk].
He is a founding clinical member of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapy, and a member of the Christian Association of Psychological Studies(CAPS). He is also Emeritus Professor of Philosophical Theology at the Institute for Christian Studies where he has taught since 1968.
