Macaria is a staff counsellor at Christian Counselling Services. She holds a Bachelor in Communication Sciences, a Master in Christian Counselling with Major in Marriage and Family, and has attended workshops in CBT, Schema Therapy and Gottman Therapy.

She is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors,
Psychometrists and Psychotherapists and of the College of Registered
Psychotherapists in Ontario.

Macaria is interested in serving individuals, couples and families to assist them in their journey to overcome issues to live more fulfilled lives. She supports clients to find healing regarding past experiences; to find healthier ways to live their lives; to see themselves, others and the world from a healthier perspective; to improve their relationships with themselves, others and God, and to reach their goals. She applies a Christian perspective while using different approaches.

She has been working with clients presenting a variety of issues including stress, anxiety, guilt, depression, anger, isolation and shame; supported clients with issues such as sexual abuse, trauma, emotional abuse, low self-esteem, abandonment, forgiveness and codependency; worked with couples experiencing issues related to communication, marital roles, abuse, infidelity and divorce; and supported clients struggling with spiritual issues, among others.

Macaria works in English and Spanish and understands immigrants because she is an immigrant as well.
